Claire Cameron is a British singer-songwriter with a compelling voice

Claire has been writing and performing original songs for over twenty years. She has graced stages across the UK and Europe and during the time she lived in Vietnam enjoyed a monthly residency at celebrated music venue ‘La Fenetre Soleil’ in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Having grown up listening to everything from heavy metal to singer songwriters, her music reflects a huge range of influences. These include Led Zeppelin and Metallica right through to Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos, Sia, Alanis Morisette, James Taylor and Chris Stapleton.   It is this eclectic taste in music and unique approach to songwriting which sets Claire Cameron apart in an ever evolving sound.

At her happiest in front of a piano, playing and singing, Claire is a passionate and honest performer who prides herself on delivering powerful, emotive and beautiful music. She combines and experiments with musical styles from acoustic, singer-songwriter to pop and alternative rock.

Claire Cameron Band

Prior to her expat years in Vietnam, Claire fronted the critically acclaimed Claire Cameron Band. CCB took the solo-singer-songwriter sound to a new level, and their album ‘Time Will Tell‘ delivers forty minutes of female-fronted alternative rock with a melodic story-telling thread from start to finish.  Claire Cameron Band performed many passionate and slick live shows over the years they were together. Particular shows of note include headline slots at The 100 Club  in London, Limetree Festival, BBC Introducing West Yorkshire on BBC Radio Leeds, 360 Club Leeds and Punk in Soho, London.

Song For Saigon

Claire Cameron Band’s last release, ‘Song For Saigon‘, was inspired by four years of living amid the history, motorbikes and city lights of Ho Chi Minh City, (Saigon), Vietnam. It was first recorded by Claire Cameron Band and recorded at No Machine Studios with Neil Sadler. The single generated a lot of local interest and you can watch a short interview for ‘Sharing Vietnam’ TV here.

There is a new, album version of Song for Saigon on Claire Cameron’s upcoming new album ‘Dragonfly’ which is due to be released on 5th December 2025.

Landing in Cambridgeshire, UK

When Claire moved back from Vietnam in 2017 it was another completely new start and she chose Cambridgeshire for its beauty, love of music and celebration of culture. Having settled in and gathered some new inspiration she released a ‘The Past Is Not The Now‘ which features Pete Nash (of Claire Cameron Band). Read the story behind the new single here.
